Head Deposits - Par (S28)

Above a raised beach of about 120,000 years old , sitting on the Cliffs between Fishing Point and Spit Point ,
is a considerable thickness of Head .
The Head consists of angular frost shattered fragments of slate from periglacial tundra conditions
which lasted until about 15,000 years ago.
This is capped by 0.5m of Loess material formed by winds blowing material from the dried up floors of Seas.
