Raised Beach - Gunwalloe Fishing Cove (S22)
An isolated remnant of a Raised Beach at Gunwalloe Fishing Cove.
Beach pebbles cemented in a brown matrix on cleaved devonian rocks with a black layer above ,
some 2+m above the highwater mark.
More of the raised beach can be seen , depending on the level of sand , near the coastal defences /
path leading down to the beach .
