King Doniert’s Stone at 1.37 m. has decorated panels on three of its faces with interlaced
Cord Plait / Carved Knot designs and a mortice to receive a cross-shaft .
The east face has a weathered inscription 'Doniert Rogavit Pro Anima' - 'Doniert has asked prayers for his soul' ?.
Doniert may be Dumgarth King of Cornwall who died in AD 875.
The southern cross-shaft fragment is taller at 2.1m and one face has a panel of interlaced decoration.
