View from near Pendeen old cliff to Levant Mine.
The coast path passes through the ruins and the Red clay tips from the settling ponds -
where water from the dressing floors was settled to be reused - stained red by iron oxide .
Before the mills closed in 1990 the streams ran red , emptying into the cove with a red plume drifting out to sea.
