A stream crosses Pistil Meadow and cascades over a waterfall onto the beach below. Steps lead down to the beach
Pistil Meadow is home to mass graves of a possible 207 individuals. The crew and passengers of The HMS Royal Anne -
on route to Barbadoes , forced by bad weather to return to port in Falmouth ,
but wrecked off the Lizard on 10th Nov 1721 , there were 2 survivors.
