4 courtyard houses from the Roman Period about 100AD to 400 AD .
Plus some stone round houses ( 50BC - 100 AD) replacing earlier timber houses and an impressive
Mystical Cornish Foque (Cave) -
An underground passage 20m in length and over 1.8m high with Granite Lintels leads to a
Corbelled Chamber 4.6m in diameter x 2.4m high from the Iron Age - 500 BC.
The passage is now open at both ends but would have been accessed by a narrow creep passage.
After the Roman Period the settlement was peacefully abandoned - the villagers founding farms nearby.

Carn Euny is signposted off the A30 west of Penzance.
Park at the end of a long narrow lane ( passed Brane Farm ) to a small Car Park ( muddy in winter ).
