Winches / HMS Warspite

Left Pics - A Rusting Winch / Capstan at Bessy's Cove , used by the fishermen after the smugglers left.
--------------------------------
Right Pic - Timber Pole ( overlooking Piskies Cove ) - with chains nearby from the moorings of HMS Warspite .
On the 23rd April 1947 HMS Warspite was en-route for breaking up on the Clyde -
the tow parted in heavy seas and she went ashore in Prussia Cove.
Warspite remained at the cove for 3 years before being refloated and moved to the beach
alongside St. Michael`s Mount.
Here she lay for 5 years slowly being taken apart for scrap metal.
