Harbour
A view from near Appletree Point of Charlestown 's outer Harbour and the eastern beach.

The outer harbour is protected by a breakwater .
The inner harbour is a non-tidal wet dock.
A seven-mile leat or channel brought water from near the Treffy Viaduct in the Luxulyan Valley to feed two reservoirs east of the town.
This water was used to scour the outer harbour and keep the wet dock full.
