The sand and shingle beach curves gently to form a crescent shaped cove of over 1km in length.
Near this viewpoint the coast path passes through 'The Bulwark' - a massive Iron Age earthwork
660m long and over 6m high enclosing Dodman Point - creating a fortified area - a Cliff Castle.
